Abstract

The aim of submitted work is to search the softening and melting temperature of archeometallurgy bloomery and blast furnace slag using high - temperature microscope. The high values of melting temperature of bloomery slag is a result of secondary oxidation of wüstite in the chamber of a microscope. The melting temperature increases with an increase in SiO2 and decreases with increasing basicity of the slag.
