The publication fee for Metallurgical and Materials Engineering(MME) is USD 1200 which shall be utilized to cover the expenses of managing and copy editing the articles. If authors would like to avail of our in-house proof-reading services, an extra USD 200 shall be imposed in addition to the regular APC. The proof-reading fee is not compulsory, the authors may wish to have the proof-reading done with any third parties as well {if required}.

Last July, the summer sky has darkened when the sad news that Professor Ljubomir Nedeljković has passed away - had spread among Serbian metallurgical society. One rich professional and interesting life biography is completed, but the memory of Professor Nedeljković among his colleagues, fellow students, and friends will never fade. Prof. Nedeljković was born on 4th January 1933 in Sarajevo and passed away on 6th July 2020 in Split, Croatia, at the age of 87.

Hydrometallurgy is an important part of the extractive metal industry involved in the recovery of metals from ores, concentrates, technogenic and other secondary and urban mining sources; it plays an interesting role in the expansion of minerals processing industry. There are numerous hydrometallurgical process technologies used for recovering metals, such as leaching, solvent extraction/ion exchange, metals electro recovery and raffination; stabilization and remediation of tailings/waste.

From the 2019 year, journal Metallurgical and Materials Engineering is indexed in SCOPUS, Elsevier's largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature.
We are pleased to announce Online First, a feature for online publication of all accepted papers and proofed articles. It allows final revision articles to be hosted online before their inclusion in a final print and online journal issue.
Once an Online First article is assigned to its final issue and given its bibliographic data: volume, issue, page numbers, it will appear in the main archive page rather than the Online First page.
Online First articles could be changed only for minor corrections.
These articles are searchable and citable by their DOI (Digital Object Identifier). With Online First publication, the time it takes for critical discoveries to reach the research community is significantly reduced.
